An 82-year-old retired teacher living in Samsun grows 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables in the garden of their home, using seeds brought from 50 countries. The garden’s range of produce has been developed from seeds the teacher collected over the years.
The retired teacher brings seeds back from countries where they worked abroad and from places they visited. By planting those seeds in the home garden in Samsun, the teacher has grown a collection that now includes 200 varieties of fruits and vegetables.
The teacher has been growing the produce for about 20 years without using a greenhouse. Cultivation takes place outdoors under natural conditions, rather than in a greenhouse.
