President Erdoğan sent a video message to the “Osman Gazi Floating Production Platform Send-Off Ceremony.” The Osman Gazi is being sent to its duty station in the Black Sea, the destination named in Erdoğan’s message.
“Today, we are opening a brand-new page in our energy history,” Erdoğan said. He described the Osman Gazi as “virtually a floating industrial facility” and said it was being dispatched to its duty station in the Black Sea.
The message linked the platform’s departure for its Black Sea assignment with the opening of a new page in Türkiye’s energy history. It also included the phrase “Osman Gazi, Türkiye Yüzyılı,” meaning “Osman Gazi, Türkiye Century.”
