According to information reported by journalist Merve Tokaz, three separate charges are included in the investigation concerning Halk TV. They are rigging tenders, bribery, and laundering assets derived from crime.
The three charges are the allegations being examined in the investigation. Alongside alleged tender-rigging and bribery, the investigation also includes the charge of laundering property values obtained through criminal activity.
Earlier that same morning, October 14, Financial Crimes Branch Directorate teams searched Halk TV’s building. The channel’s live broadcast was stopped and access to the building was closed. A trustee had previously been appointed to the channel, and riot police had blocked the road outside the building with barricades.
