Payments to begin for around 3,000 homes and businesses damaged by floods in Istanbul

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül spoke about damage caused by flooding in the city. Damage assessments found that around 3,000 homes and businesses had suffered serious damage.

Gül said payments for damage to these homes and businesses would begin as of today. The payment process is therefore starting today for the approximately 3,000 residential and commercial properties identified as seriously damaged.

Gül also gave an approximate figure of 60 in connection with agricultural damage. He linked that figure to agricultural losses, while his remarks also covered the assessment of damage to homes and businesses and when payments for those losses would begin.
