Türkiye experienced a total of 66 meteorological disasters in September. According to data from the Turkish State Meteorological Service, severe rainfall and flooding were the most frequently occurring type among those events.
There were 24 severe rainfall and flooding incidents during the month. That made this category the one with the highest number of events among September’s meteorological disasters.
Of the 66 events in the monthly total, severe rainfall and flooding accounted for 24, placing it first among the reported types. The September figures give both the overall number of meteorological disasters and the count for the most common type.
