Murat Boz calls for urgent evacuation of people trapped by flooding

Murat Boz, stranded in Istanbul’s Maslak-Ayazağa area as heavy rain hit the city, called for an urgent evacuation. “We’re now going to the last place we can reach. Please evacuate us urgently. There are women and young people here,” Boz said.

The area where Boz is located is near Phoenix Studios. Earlier, he said the area was under water, the electricity had been cut and he was stranded alongside hundreds of employees. He had also called on authorities for urgent assistance.

In his latest appeal, Boz said they were moving to the highest or last point they could reach and stressed that women and young people were among those in the area. He renewed his call for an immediate evacuation of the people stranded there.
