Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said three people had lost their lives in the floods. According to the figures he gave, search operations are continuing for people who remain missing after the disaster.
Five people are being searched for in Istanbul. In Kocaeli, search efforts are under way for one person. That means six people are being sought across the two provinces.
Çiftçi gave the death toll as three. He also specified how the people being searched for are distributed between Istanbul and Kocaeli: five in Istanbul and one in Kocaeli.
