Eight-year-old girl allegedly abused in Şanlıurfa; mother, aunt and grandmother detained

In Şanlıurfa, an eight-year-old girl was allegedly beaten and burned with an iron by her mother. The girl suffered severe burns to her body.

The child was taken to hospital with those severe burns. The allegation concerns both beating and burning the girl with an iron; the child taken to hospital is eight years old.

The girl’s mother, aunt and maternal grandmother were taken into custody. The three people detained were the child’s mother and two relatives on her mother’s side: her aunt and maternal grandmother.
