The “Today in 60 Seconds” roundup, prepared with contributions from AJet, featured developments in Gaza, France and Istanbul. Five people were killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza, including two children.
In France, 1,200 people were detained in connection with Yellow Vest demonstrations. During a protest in Paris, one person became unwell and died after cardiac and respiratory arrest. French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu announced that 1,200 people had been detained in connection with the demonstrations.
The Istanbul item concerned debris in Ayazaga, an area affected by flooding. The roundup therefore covered deaths in the attacks on Gaza, the demonstrations and detentions in France, and the debris in flood-affected Ayazaga.
