PARIS — Incidents took place across France during Yellow Vest protests, including clashes between demonstrators and police. A total of 272 people have been detained so far in connection with the nationwide incidents.
The protests have support from different parts of society. High school students, farmers and climate activists are among the groups specifically backing the demonstrations.
The protests therefore have support across a range of social groups, while the number detained in the countrywide incidents has reached 272. Paris was listed as the location for the development.
