Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk spoke about Barcelona’s strength and teamwork after his side’s 4-1 defeat. Calling the opposition a very good team, Buruk said that eight players in Barcelona’s starting XI were players for Spain, the champions.
Buruk emphasized how well the Barcelona players know one another, describing them as “players who have memorized each other’s game and become machine-like.” He also praised their ability on the ball, saying it seemed to stick to their feet.
The Galatasaray coach said it was not easy to play against a team of that quality. His assessment pointed both to the connection between eight players in the starting lineup and Spain’s championship, and to the Barcelona players’ familiarity with one another and technical ability.
