Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk said that, before the match, he had spoken about four major teams in the title race but had forgotten Amed SF. Buruk apologized to Amed SF for leaving the team out of that assessment.
“They are also in the race and coming on strongly,” Buruk said, recognizing Amed SF as a contender for the title. He stressed that the team was making a strong push in the competition.
Buruk congratulated Amed SF on being among the major teams. His remarks combined an apology for not mentioning the club in his pre-match assessment with recognition of its place in the title race and the strength of its challenge.
