Speaking ahead of the Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby, İsmail Kartal said he was confident in his ability to prepare his team for such matches and win at the opponent’s stadium. “I know very well how to motivate my team in derbies and how to win at that stadium,” Kartal said.
Kartal also recalled that he had beaten Galatasaray with 10 men. He made the point with the words, “I beat them with 10 men,” linking that result to his confidence about managing his team in derby matches.
Kartal said he was aiming for another victory against Galatasaray. “I’ll go there again and beat Galatasaray,” he said, reiterating both his confidence about winning at the club’s stadium and his determination to defeat the team once more.
