Mustafa Sarıgül said they would persist in their legal struggle to establish the innocence and justification of his family members and friends. “We will continue our legal struggle with determination so that the innocence and justification of my family members and friends are revealed,” Sarıgül said.
The statement came after developments in an investigation concerning Ömer Sarıgül and Abdurrahman Emir Sarıgül into alleged laundering of assets derived from crime. Fifteen suspects detained as part of the investigation were referred to court with a request for their arrest; seven of them were arrested.
Those arrested were Ömer Sarıgül, Özgür Bölükbaşı, Sadullah Ergün, Selim Daşdemir, Volkan Aslanbaş, Zekai Erdem and Zekeriya Yasemin. Sarıgül’s statement said the legal process would continue with determination, with the aim of establishing the innocence and justification of the people he described as family members and friends.
