Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş criticized Israel’s attacks against Palestinians while speaking at Batman University’s 2026-2027 Academic Year Opening Ceremony. He said Israel’s aggression “shows no sign of stopping.”
Kurtulmuş also said Israel was continuing its oppression of Palestinians by using the election as an excuse. He presented the election as a pretext for the continuation of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians.
The focus of Kurtulmuş’s criticism was the ongoing aggression he described and the use of the election as an excuse for Israel’s actions toward Palestinians. He made the remarks during the opening ceremony for Batman University’s 2026-2027 academic year.
