President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan extended heartfelt congratulations to friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan on its Day of Restoration of Independence, on behalf of Türkiye and the Turkish nation. His message highlighted the friendship and kinship between the two countries.
Erdoğan addressed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as his “brother” and sent him his greetings. He also included Azerbaijani Turks in his message, referring to them as his brothers and sisters.
Erdoğan sent greetings to Azerbaijani Turks, saying that they have always shared one another’s sorrow and joy. His congratulations thus marked Azerbaijan’s special day while also conveying greetings to Aliyev and the Azerbaijani Turkish people.
