Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Minister Murat Kurum announced that meteorological alerts will be in effect tomorrow for 10 provinces at orange level and 26 provinces at yellow level. The alert information in his statement applies to the following day.
The 10 provinces listed for orange-level alerts are Istanbul, Bursa, Kastamonu, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Sinop, Zonguldak, Bartın, Yalova and Düzce. The list therefore includes provinces in both the Marmara and Black Sea regions.
Kurum’s announcement specified alerts for 36 provinces in total: 10 orange-level and 26 yellow-level. It did not list the names of the 26 provinces under yellow-level alerts.
