A person in Kocaeli collected soil from a neighbor’s garden to put in flowerpots. While taking the soil, the person came across bone remains beneath pieces of roof tile.
The remains may date to the Roman period. The information available does not establish a definitive date for the bones; their possible connection to that period remains subject to examination.
The bone remains were taken to a museum for examination. They were found beneath the tile fragments in the neighbor’s garden during the collection of soil intended for flowerpots.
