A woman said a man she did not know slapped her in the street. She recounted asking him why he had hit her, to which he replied, “I’m sorry.”
Questioning whether an apology could make up for what happened, the woman said, “Does saying sorry make it OK?” She also said, “I can’t hear out of my ear,” drawing attention to the effect of the slap on her hearing.
According to the woman’s account, the man’s father then arrived and said, “My son is ill.” The woman responded, “If he is ill, what is he doing out among people?” No information was provided about where or when the incident took place.
