The sea changed color along the coast in Sakarya after heavy rain, and pollution formed on the shoreline. Intense rainfall carried silt and muddy soil through the Sakarya River, spreading the material across a wide area of the Black Sea coast.
The discoloration affected the area where the river flows into the sea as well as part of the shoreline. Silt and muddy soil carried into the sea by the river spread along the coast, causing pollution on the shore.
As a result, the water’s appearance changed both near the Sakarya River’s mouth and along part of the coast after the downpour. The sediment carried by the rainfall affected a broad stretch of the Black Sea shoreline.
