The completed Kızkalesi section of the Çeşmeli-Taşucu Motorway in Mersin has opened to traffic. With the opening, the Çeşmeli-Kızkalesi route is now available to drivers.
The Çeşmeli-Kızkalesi section consists of 41 kilometers of motorway and 11 kilometers of connecting roads. Together, the motorway and its connecting roads form a 52-kilometer route.
Travel time on this route, which reaches 2.5 hours during the summer months, is set to fall to 18 minutes. The stated journey time for the route will therefore be 18 minutes, including during the summer period when it previously reached 2.5 hours.
