Istanbul Governor Davut Gül gave an update on work in areas of Ayazağa affected by flooding. Referring to demolitions in the streambed, Gül said: “We will have completed all our demolitions by this evening and tomorrow.”
His statement indicates that demolition work in the streambed is set to continue from this evening into tomorrow, with the work due to be completed by then. The governor was describing the latest status of the ongoing efforts in the flood-affected areas.
Gül’s remarks also mentioned 16 shops and a sports field in Ayazağa Square in connection with the demolitions. The update therefore covered both the timetable for completing work in the streambed and these locations in the square as part of the work being carried out in Ayazağa.
